Her work at MCRC is primarily focused on issues around for-profit schools in Maryland. Jen has lobbied in the Maryland state legislature to protect consumers from predatory payday loans\, fraudulent for-profit schools\, unfair debt collection practices\, and more.  She helped design and execute MCRC’s “Know Before You Enroll”   campaign to help students avoid high-cost\, low-yield colleges and career programs. Jen holds a bachelor’s degree from the Johns Hopkins University and is a proud graduate of the Public Allies Maryland program. \nInstructor:  Dr. Emma Torres\, Financial Aid Specialist  \nEmma Torres\, MBA\, Ed.D is a Financial Aid Specialist at Anne Arundel Community College. She has served and presented in many roles within financial aid such as; FAFSA Completion Nights\, Ways to Pay for College Workshops\, MPT Call Center Representative\, New Student Orientations\, and You Can Afford College Workshops just to name a few.
