Located in the historic Galesville community of southern Anne Arundel County, the Tenthouse Creek Village project was part of a community-wide revitalization plan and resulted in the preservation of an affordable housing community inhabited by generations of African-American oyster shuckers. Leveraging a combination of state, federal and County funding sources, ACDS led the transformation of 16 rental units, originally constructed in the 1950s and lacking indoor plumbing, air and adequate heating systems.
