ACDS is now the administering agency for Anne Arundel County’s Local Development Council (LDC) grants. LDC grants are available on a competitive basis to nonprofit and community organizations working to benefit the communities and residents within a three mile radius of Maryland Live! Casino.
There are two types of LDC Grants;
Invitation Only Grants. These grants are available to nonprofit and community organizations that are invited by the LDC to submit an application. The LDC invitation to apply will be based upon (i) identified needs within the eligible area; and (ii) presentations made by potential eligible applicants throughout the year.
Community Grants. These grants are available on a competitive basis to nonprofit organizations and community associations serving the community and residents within a three mile radius of the Maryland Live! Facility. Eligible applicants may apply for a maximum of $40,000.
The LDC has identified the following three major areas that they would like to see grant funds have an impact:
- schools and educational institutions;
- communities in need of beautification and improvement; and
- human service programs that help individuals succeed

The FY 2020 LDC grant application period is now closed.
The deadline for FY20 Community Grant applications was Friday, December 19, 2018 at 4:00pm.
This year, for the first time, ACDS conducted a Grants Training Workshop. The workshop, held on November 8th, 2018 at the Harmans Community Room at Arundel Mills, offered applicants the opportunity to hear more about the LDC application process and grant requirements. If you were unable to attend this session, you can access the presentation HERE or reach out to ACDS staff with any questions. Additionally, we will hold a second training in the Spring for grant awardees to go over grant requirements for those who could not make the initial training.
Questions may be directed to Dave Sims, Project Planner, ACDS, at email@example.com.
