Understanding banking and the services provided to you through your local branch and/or online is an important aspect of your financial health. While local check cashing services and “payday lenders” may be fast and easy, they could be harmful to your wallet.

This workshop will help you to understand the various products and services offered by most check cashing services, banks, credit unions and other financial institutions. This workshop will provide a in-depth discussion on the basic steps in establishing a checking and savings account, as well as the importance of regular deposits and monthly reconciliation of accounts.

This workshop will give you an understanding of what banks offer, such as debit cards, lines of credit, bank credit cards, links between savings accounts and checking accounts, and fees associated with these services. Receive a broad introduction to wealth management and trust services, an overview of consumer and commercial loans, and the difference between each loan type.
