Help is available for eligible Anne Arundel County residents at risk of imminent eviction or foreclosure: Eviction Prevention Program and Foreclosure Prevention Counseling.
The Anne Arundel and Annapolis Coalition to End Homelessness (the Coalition) is the convening and planning body for Anne Arundel County and the City of Annapolis tasked with promoting community-wide commitment to ending homelessness, creation of and access to mainstream programs by people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness, and optimizing self-sufficiency within our community. This group promotes community-wide planning and strategic use of resources to address homelessness and is committed to improving data collection and performance measurement over time.
Coalition General Body Meetings are held semi-monthly on the 1st Friday of the month. General meetings are recorded and meeting minutes are available upon request.
The Homeless Coalition consists of over 50 County and City of Annapolis agencies and individuals, including concerned citizens, nonprofit homeless service providers, organizations serving special needs clientele, and others with interests and who play critical roles in ending homelessness in the County.
The Coalition invites all interested persons and organizations – including people who are currently or formally homeless – to become members of the Anne Arundel and Annapolis Coalition to End Homelessness. Members share the Coalition’s vision and mission to prevent and end homelessness in the County, actively engage in identifying creative solutions and funding to further the Continuum of Care for people experiencing homelessness in the County, and support community education around the issue of homelessness. They receive regular updates concerning the status of homelessness and services in the County, are informed of funding opportunities and other resources available within the County and troubleshoot challenges in a group setting with the support of local experts.
