Candid is an online grant research service offered through the Anne Arundel County Public Library. Candid can connect grant researchers with helpful resources and additional funding sources.
Candid offers three services, which can be accessed through Anne Arundel County Public Libraries.
Candid Learning offers free online trainings weekly as well as on-demand video trainings on a variety of topics related to nonprofit management and success. Some featured topics are proposal writing, fundraising, and management. Candid Learning resources can be accessed online from anywhere.
Candid also offers a Foundation Directory and GuideStar, a resource that provides information and data on over two million nonprofits. These resources are only available in-person at any of Anne Arundel County Public Library’s 16 locations.
Funder Information Network
Anne Arundel Public Libraries also hosts monthly meetings of the Funder Information Network.

Anne Arundel Women Giving Together
Anne Arundel Women Giving Together (AAWGT) is a volunteer run organization that seeks to improve the quality of life of all women and families in Anne Arundel County.
AAWGT engages directly in grantmaking, as well as educating female donors and philanthropists on issues affecting women and families.

Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County
The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC) is a publicly funded philanthropic organization that distributes between $4 and $6 million annually through grants and special projects. CFAAC’s mission is to connect people who care with causes that matter. A list of available grant opportunities can be found here.
In addition to their philanthropic efforts, CFAAC also publishes an annual report that provides an overview of the issues impacting Anne Arundel County and its residents. The most recent report can be found here.
Impact 100 – Greater Chesapeake
Impact 100 – Greater Chesapeake is a volunteer run organization that aims at providing transformational grants that allow local non-profits to make a significantly higher contribution to those they serve.

United Way of Central Maryland
United Way of Central Maryland is a nonprofit organization that provides resources to address a variety of needs such as housing, health, education, and economic advancement.

In addition to the resources they provide, United Way of Central Maryland also participates in grantmaking. UWCM has two main funding opportunities, Neighborhood Grants and the Changemaker Challenge. Maryland Nonprofits is a statewide membership organization that includes nonprofits, businesses supporting nonprofits, government agencies, and individuals. They contribute to the nonprofit space in Maryland through advocacy and research, as well as resources and support for their membership.
