Below is a list of programs supported by Continuum of Care funding in FY19. The programs are run by agencies who work together as the Anne Arundel County Coalition to End Homelessness to provide a continuum of services with the goal of ending homelessness in the County.
Anne Arundel Partnership for Permanent Housing – Arundel Community Development Services, Inc. will continue to provide leasing, supportive services, and operating costs for homeless families and persons with disabilities. The program is subcontracted to Arundel House of Hope, Inc., Housing Commission of Anne Arundel County, Community Residences, Inc., and the County’s Department of Social Services.
CHES Grant – Anne Arundel County Mental Health Agency will provide tenant based rental assistance to chronically homeless persons diagnosed with a mental illness.
Community Housing Program – Arundel House of Hope, Inc. will provide leasing, supportive services, and administration to provide permanent supportive housing to six homeless persons.
Housing First Program I – People Encouraging People, Inc. will provide tenant based rental assistance and supportive services to five chronically homeless persons.
Housing First Program II – People Encouraging People, Inc. will provide tenant based rental assistance and supportive services to eight chronically homeless persons.
Permanent Supportive Housing Program – The Housing Commission of Anne Arundel County will provide a rental subsidy program with supportive services for homeless persons with disabilities and their families.
Rapid Re-Housing Program – Catholic Charities will provide short term rental assistance and case management to homeless families.
Safe Haven I – Arundel House of Hope, Inc. will provide permanent housing for four chronically homeless men.
Safe Haven II – Arundel House of Hope, Inc. will provide permanent housing for four chronically homeless men.
Samaritan Housing Program – Anne Arundel County Mental Health Agency will provide tenant based rental assistance and intensive supportive services to chronically homeless persons diagnosed with a mental illness.
Shelter Plus Care Program – Anne Arundel Mental Health Agency will provide tenant based rental assistance and intensive supportive services to homeless persons diagnosed with a mental illness. Grant is administered by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
Supportive Housing Opportunity Program – Anne Arundel Mental Health Agency will provide tenant based rental assistance and intensive supportive services to homeless persons diagnosed with a mental illness.
WISH Program – Arundel House of Hope, Inc. will provide permanent housing for five chronically homeless women.
